Patient Support

We are in this with you.

We have an intimate understanding of what you are facing. And, we are dedicated to walking you through the process, step by step. Support groups can be one of the most valuable resources for patients and their loved ones. Oftentimes, you may not have the opportunity to ask all of your questions during an office visit. Or, perhaps you and your loved ones think of new questions or topics to discuss after your clinic appointment has passed.

At the Preston A. Wells Jr. Center for Brain Tumor Therapy, we have established a monthly support group. We invite patients and their friends and family to attend these comfortable, open discussions, often led by an expert in the neuromedicine field or by recovering patients. We will discuss common questions, typical symptoms and side effects, life outside of this diagnosis, advancements in the research. Participation in the groups is a great way to learn that you are not alone. There are others going through similar circumstances, and we can all learn from each other. The groups take place in a relaxed atmosphere, and usually, refreshments are served.
