March 24, 2016 By Michelle Jaffee University of Florida Health’s Duane Mitchell, M.D., Ph.D., will receive a $1 million grant Thursday from the nonprofit Hyundai Hope On Wheels to further his research into stimulating immune responses against malignant brain tumor cells.
In a ceremony at the New York International Auto Show, Mitchell will receive one of four new Quantum Grants, to be given to institutions committed to transformational research on pediatric cancers with the lowest survival rates.
